摘要：Reading a novel is something interesting. It can bring a pleasure and knowledgeto the readers. It is one of ways to appreciate a work of literature. When thewriter reads this novel, he is interested to analyze the characters, because thisone of Robert Louis Stevensons great horror and thus a pillar of what mostcritics take to be the apex of Robert Louis Stevenson dramatic art. This novelpresents us with two characters, Mr. Hyde and Dr. Jekyll. Mr. Hyde is dominantforce in evil character. The writers aim s of study in this scientific researchpaper is to describe out the character of Mr. Hyde and Dr. Jekyll in Strange Caseof DR. Jekyll and MR. Hyde. In the research method, the writer used twosources of data. The main sources and the secondary sources. The main sourceof data is taken from novel entitled Strange Case of DR. Jekyll and MR. Hydeand another source of data is taken from Internet. Furthermore, in analyzingcharacters of DR. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde the writer used a psychological approachwhich a psychological approach considers that analysis consist of fourconcurrent flows activity; data and the steps are data collection, data reduction,data display and conclusion drawing/versification. The result of this researchshowed that Mr. Hydes characters are cruel, sadist person, lovely to beingalone and also a mysterious person with no sense at all. DR. Jekylls is kindest,he kinds to every person and he sees everything objectively so all peoplerespect him and be the most respected man in England.
