摘要：keyword: COMPARATIVE, STUDY, CONDITIONAL, IF, NOVELABSTRACT :This research paper is entitled Comparative Study of English and Indonesian Conditional-if in the Novel Before I Say Goodbye by Mary Higgins Clarkwhich the writer purposes to find out the equivalent of English Conditional-ifsentence into Indonesian. This research uses qualitative method of which dataof the English conditional-if sentences are taken from the novel entitled BeforeI Say Goodbye and its Indonesian version entitled Sebelum Aku Pergi. Afteranalyzing the conditional-if sentence, the writer finds some result which is marked to find out the equivalent of English Conditional-if sentence; inIndonesian there is no pattern of Conditional-if which is divided into three types,If in a conditional sentence can be translated into Jika, Kalau, Seandainya,Apabila dan Begitu, sometimes If is not translated this happends because seenfrom the previous context, and to identify the Conditional sentence is anemphasize word, so the translation in Indonesian is added -pun.
