摘要:ABSTRACT :There are many techniques used in teaching English vocabulary to younglearners. In this thesis the writer uses pictures and songs as the technique inteaching English vocabulary to young learners. The writer observed two groups,namely group A who are taught by using pictures and group B who are taughtby using songs. The aims of the study are to find out how the teacher teachvocabulary by using pictures and songs in TK Kalpataru, the problems faced bythe teacher in teaching vocabulary by using pictures and songs in TK Kalpataru,the solutions of the problem in teaching vocabulary, and to find out whichmethod is better to teach vocabulary. The result of the analysis shows thatstudents more interested in English vocabulary by using pictures than songs.The result of the study shows that observed t = 2,498 and the table t = 2,0576(observed t > table t). It means that teaching vocabulary using pictures is moreeffective than using songs.
