摘要：keyword: MASTERY, CONDITIONAL SENTENCES, GUNADARMAUNIVERSITYABSTRACT :This paper is an analysis of the level mastery, which is analyzing mastery of understanding and making conditional sentences. The objective of this researchto measure and explain the student mastery of conditional sentences at the thirdyear students, Faculty of Letters, Gunadarma University. The research methoduses field research, the writer spreads questionnaire of conditional sentences tothe students. Here, the population is 3 SA01, 3 SA02, 3 SA03 students ofFaculty of Letters, Gunadarma University in academic year 2005-2006. thepopulation is 120 students from all class. And the writer takes 30 students as thesample of the study which is taken randomly. The data analysis will show theresult of the study in the form table, and analyze the answer per number of thesample one by one in the term of finding difficulties of conditional sentences. The result of study shows the percentage of errors make by students which is ahalf of them still get difficulties in understanding conditional sentences.
