摘要：The paper translation TREASURE ISLAND by R.L. Stevenson is much neededin the process of transferring information from one language into anotherlanguage. And it is conducted to give the answers to the question of: what kindof translation is used and The way of translation and the translation itself. Togive a good information of Translation, in this research paper the writer wouldlike to achive several objectives of the study and elements such as, find out thedifferences, the similarities in translating THE TREASURE ISLAND by R.L.Stevenson from the source language ( English ) into the target language (Indonesian ) and find the solution by considering the four elements, which are:idiomatic expression, grammatical structure, cultural context and situationalcontext. So the writer may find those problem in the book Of R.L. Stevensonentitled Treasure Island . The last chapter is resulting about the problemsolution after reading and observing the book and determining the way that thewriter tries to translate and to divide the elements and their examples. As the thedifferences and similarities in translation ( Source Language and TargetLanguage it self in both languages English Indonesian ) the writer maytranslate a good translation.
