摘要:There are many techniques used in teaching English vocabulary to young learners. In this thesisthe writer uses pictures and without pictures as the techniques in teaching English vocabulary toyoung learners. The writer observed two Groups, namely group B who are taught by usingpictures and group A who are taught without pictures. Aims of the study from this thesis are todescribe the way how to teach English vocabulary through pictures and without pictures in theschool, the problems faced by the teacher in teaching vocabulary through pictures and withoutpictures, the solutions of the problem in teaching vocabulary. The result of the analysis showsthat the students are more interested in English vocabulary through pictures than withoutpictures. As the result of the study shows that observed t =56.44 and the table t = 1.522(observed t > table t). It means that teaching vocabulary through pictures is more effective thanwithout pictures
