  • 摘要:ABSTRACT :Nowadays, learning English is very important because English is one ofinternational languages which is usually used for communication by wholecommunity. There are some parts of learning English. One of the essential partsis grammar. Grammar is very necessary when we want to do a written English.For example we can learn sentences, tenses, parts of speech, prepositions,clauses, and so on. The Problems identified in this research were: What is themastery of the third year students Gunadarma University in noun clauses? AndWhat are the errors made by the third year students Gunadarma University innoun clauses? The objectives of the study were: to describe the mastery of thethird year students gunadarma university in noun clauses, and to discuss whaterrors made by the third year students Gunadarma University in noun clauses.The writer used the library research and the field research to complete theaccomplishment of the scientific research paper. In the library research, thewriter used some books which were related to the topic to help the writer infinding theories about adjective clause. The writer also browsed theories fromInternet to add theories beside from the books. In the field research, the writerused qualitative method by giving questionnaires randomly to 36 populations in3 SA 01, 3 SA 02, and 3 SA03 Faculty of Letters Gunadarma University. Thenthe samples and all the population became samples of this research. The sampleswere then analyzed per number in each questionnaire and were concluded to theerror based on the average score of total correct answers, and the percentages.After the data had been analyzed, the writer found that that the third yearstudents of Faculty of Letters have understood enough in understanding NounClauses with the percentage of error as much as 25,61 % or they had the abilityas much as 74,39 % (Letter grade C).
