摘要：ABSTRACT :This research is an analysis about the main character of the novel Hannibal byThomas Harris works. Here the writer tries to analyze the psychological ofHannibal Lecter personal character by utilizing psychological approach. Inanalyzing a psychological of Hannibal Lecter, first the writer will analyze thecharacter of Hannibal. In analyzing a character in a novel, psychologicalapproach is related to the human behavior, the attitude and also the mind of thecharacter. A psychological approach helps the writer to know the personality ofcharacter. Hannibal is the main source of this research. The problems of thisresearch are: What are the psychological factors which influenced Hannibal tobecome a Psychopath and how was his psychopathic behavior toward peoplearound him. The aims of this research are; to find out the factors which makeHannibal into a Psychopath and to describe the psychopathic behavior towardpeople around . This research conduct a library research and uses a qualitativemethod, which is descriptive because it relates with words and sentences, and asuitable approach for this research is a psychological approach. Thepsychological factors and developmental of psychological very stronglyinfluenced a character of personality. Developmental psychological is the mainfactors that influenced the main character and it are support the psychologicalfactor (Betrayal, Disappointment, Ambition, and Fear). This factors that builtthe personality of the Hannibal Lecter which he have a multiple character. Firsthis character as a psychiatrist and second his character as a psychopath. Atraumatic when he was early hood, he felling disappointment and betrayal byGod, cause God didnt listen his prayer to save Mischa (his sister) from a deerhunter which is consume Mischa affect Hannibal to frozen his heart of kindnessin doing the criminal act to his victims
