  • 摘要:ABSTRACT :The problems of the research are what kinds of affixes mark the verbs class?And What kinds of affixes can transpose the verb class into other word classes?Moreover, the aim of the research is to describe what kinds of affixes mark theverb class and to describe what kinds of affixes transpose the verb class intonouns or adjectives. According to Haspelmath (2001, 3: 16) morpheme can bedefined as the smallest meaningful constituents of a linguistic expression. Basedon Francis Katambas book entitled Morphology (1993: 44). An affix is amorpheme, which only occurs when it attached to some other morpheme ormorphemes such as root or stem or base. This research uses instrument of theresearch. The instrument of the research consists of verbs, inflectional affixes,and derivational affixes. In the instrument of the research, there will be a 100verbs and it will show if the verb can combine with the affixes is productive orimproductive. Based on the data, the writer found that inflectional suffixes arethe marker of the verbs and there are two types of transposition in verbs, whichare the transposition from verbs into nouns and the transposition from verbs intoadjectives.
