摘要：Nowadays movie industry is one of industries that promises fame and wealth forpeople who get involved. As we know it, movies are divided into many typesaccording to the style or genre of the movie. From all movies that come out thewriter choose The butterfly Effect movie to analyze the errors made in thesubtitle. This research is about the errors that appear on the subtitle of Thebutterfly Effect and the kinds of errors that made by the translator. After doingthe research the writer found out four kinds of errors that appear in the moviewhich include: Partly Incorrect, Incorrect, Misheard, and Omission. The resultof this research shows that there are errors in the subtitle of the movie made bythe translator. Therefore, it is important that the translator of the movie shouldbe careful in translating subtitle, so that the movie can be enjoyed well.
