摘要：ABSTRACT :The paper entitles The Mastery Level of The Second Grade Students of Facultyof Letters Gunadarma University 2008 in Using the Articles : A, An, and The isto be conducted to give the answer in the problems of the study :.How is themastery level of the students in using the articles and the difficulties faced bythe second grade students of Faculty of Letters in Gunadarma University. Forthis research, the writer gives 10 Questionnaires in an essay form to the secondgrade students of Faculty of Letters, and later on made the result become thedata of the research. The data were analyzed to find out the mastery level and toanalyze the difficulties encountered by the second grade students of Faculty ofLetters. The result of the analysis found that the second grade students of facultyof letters are in the below average in using the articles A,An and The. Thestudents do not know exactly how to put the articles in the correct way.
