摘要：ABSTRACT :Many people said that Lady Macbeth (a character in Macbeth, a WilliamShakespeares play) is a strong woman, but somehow she seems to be a weakwoman. This unique character makes Lady Macbeth an interesting character tobe analyzed psychologically by the writer. In this study the writer wants toknow further about Lady Macbeths character. To reveal the character of LadyMacbeth, the writer using a psychological approach, as the writer sees thepsychological approach is very helpful in analyzing character. The writer used alibrary research. The source of the data are Macbeth film, written play ofMacbeth and other information in books and the internet which related to theproblem of this study. By using a psychological approach, personalitypsychology, the characters of Lady Macbeth are: a loving wife, an ambitiouswoman, a persuasive woman and also a weak woman because she can only be amastermind not a doer in the murder because she is a Lady. She even died bysuicide because of her guilty feeling even though it was not her own act. Astrong character that first we saw become a weak character in the end of thestory.
