摘要：This research seeks to describe the attributive and predicative position ofEnglish and Indonesian adjectives and to find out the contrasts between them.This research uses a qualitative descriptive method with two novels as thesource of data. The results of this research show that there are several contrastsin terms of attributive position between English and Indonesian adjectives.They are contrast in adjectives position, determiners position, and descriptiveadjective position. In terms of predicative position, the writer found that theposition of the English predicative adjectives is always after linking verbs, andas a predicate, it is placed after the subject. However, in Indonesian, theposition of predicative adjectives can be directly after the noun, and as apredicate, it can be placed either after the subject or before the subject.
