S because it is very interesting and it has a good message toappreciate life without alcohol and drugs. Besides that, A Question For Momwas translated to help the readers who can not use English language tounderstand what the story tells about. The writer found the similarities intranslating the story. The similarities refer to the words in the Source Languagewhich do not change in the Target Language. Beside the similarities, there arethe differences that show idiomatic expressions in the Source Language, but inthe Target Language are not idiomatic expressions. The writer also found theproblems in translating the story. The translation problems that are shown interm of grammatical, cultural and situational that are described more detail indiscussion. So, the writer gave the solutions to the problems. First,understanding about term of grammatical, cultural and situational by readingproblems of translation in many translation books. Secondly, consult with theadvisor if it is so difficult or it still not familiar to the writer.
