摘要：This research topic is about children’s literature. There are varieties of children’s literature, suchas prose and poetry, fiction and nonfiction. These genres we can see it in the novel, movie,picture book, and many more. Parents must choose the best entertain to educate their children.The Penguin Popular Classic ‘Fairy Tales’ book by Hans Andersen is one of children’sliterature as entertainment and also give education for them. Many kinds of fairy tales consist inthat book. Fairy tales by Andersen is so popular and published in USA, Australia, Canada, andNew Zealand. This is a complete and unabridged fairy tales and also a delightful collection ofmagical folktales. We especially children can get a lot of knowledge and messages after readingthese fairy tales and it is very fresh and original. In this book there are forty-seven fairy tales,which has been written by Andersen and translated into English by Pat Iverson. The purpose ofthis study is to analyze the book Penguin Popular Classics’ Fairy Tales’ by Hans Andersen asone of the popular book in children’s literature. Instead, there are a number of problems inherentin children’s literature, however, after read the collection from Andersen we could more wise toeducate the children through this fairy tale. In this research the writer takes a redline that thefairy tale which written by Andersen is very relevant to consume for children because of theirtopics are content of prince and princess, animal, king and queen. These kinds of topic still existin this century and very close with children’s world.
