摘要:ABSTRACT :This paper is an evaluation of Past Perfect Tense form usage, which isanalyzing how far students knowledge and memory about Past Perfect Tense,since it has been introduced in the first year at Junior High School. The writerchooses the population from the first year students at Hutama Senior HighSchool in academic year 2004-2005. The writer chooses sample from first yearstudents of senior high school because the writer would like to analyze how farstudents knowledge and memory about past perfect tense, since it has beenintroduced in the first year at junior high school. The samples drawn are 40students in class 1-7 of Hutama Senior High School. The writer gives themquestionnaire of which type is multiple choices which consists of 20 numbersand all of the questions are about Past Perfect Tense. The data are taken fromcollecting the answers of questions of students and the writer is counting correctan incorrect answer from each students and making a list of sample and thefigures. The result of study shows percentages of correct and incorrect answerwhich have an errors made by the learners which are most of the students stillfound the difficulty of using the right form of Past Perfect Tense. Theconclusion of this paper shows that the mastery of the students in HutamaSenior High School to understand the use of Past Perfect Tense is still underaverage. The mean score of correct answer is 59,625% and incorrect answer is40,375%.
