摘要：ABSTRACT :Clive Staples Lewis was born in 1989, Belfast, Ireland, as the son of A.J. Lewis,a solicitor, and Flora Augusta (Hamilton). His mother, a promisingmathematician, died when he was nine years old. Lewis has long beenrecognized as one of the Englands best-loved writers before he was awardedthe Carnegie Medal, one of the highest marks of excellence in childrensliterature for the final title in the Chronicles of Narnias series, THE LASTBATTLE. Lewis works provide samples in fantasy and emotional all comedown in life upon Lewis page. Lewis novel, The Chronicles of Narnia TheLion, The Witch and The Wardrobe is a portrayal of human struggle forgoodness against evil. The six main characters of C.S. Lewis novel, Aslan theGreat Lion, Jadis the White Witch, and four Pevensie Children: Peter, Susan,Edmund and, Lucy. We can see the development of the characteristics of the sixmain characters which is established their own and Narnias fate. The writer wants to see what messages that arein his characters the characteristics of the six main characters: Aslan the GreatLion, Jadis the White Witch, the four Pevensie children, Peter, Susan, Edmundand Lucy in C.S. Lewis The Chronicles of Narnia The Lion, the Witch andthe wardrobe. This paper uses a library research in writing and organizing thispaper. Primary data will be taken from dialogues, utterances of thecharacteristics of the characters in The Chronicles of Narnia The Lion, theWitch and the Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis. The data then will be analyzed byimplementing structural approach in analyzing characters. The writer also usesother sources as references such as journals internet articles and books. Themessage that the writer to be found in the characteristics of the main charactersin Narnias novel that in this life we can find a different person with differentcharacteristics and we have to diffuse in what we believe and show the bestfrom our self.
