摘要:Spelling is the H writingH of a H wordH or words with the necessary HlettersH in an accepted standard order. The students always neglect spellingwords, but actually they do not know how to spell the words correctly. Withoutvocabulary and spelling, the students may not understand what they want towrite, especially when they do not understand a foreign language. That is whyspelling is needed. The objectives of this research are to find out the errors inspelling and the errors that mostly made by the students. In this research, themethod that is used is a descriptive qualitative research method. A qualitativedescriptive research method involves intensive data collection, which is thecollection of extensive sentences, not form of numbers, and this research isfocused on the process more than the result. The result of this research are thebiggest error is errors in substitution are 61 errors (61,62%), in omission are 24errors (24,24%) and in addition are 14 errors (14,14%). It is mean that themostly errors that students made is the errors in substitution of one letter foranother.
