摘要：This research topic is about childrens literature. There are varieties ofchildrens literature, such as prose and poetry, fiction and nonfiction. Thesegenres we can see it in the novel, movie, picture book, and many more. Parentsmust choose the best entertain to educate their children. The Penguin PopularClassic Fairy Tales book by Hans Andersen is one of childrens literature asentertainment and also give education for them. Many kinds of fairy talesconsist in that book. Fairy tales by Andersen is so popular and published inUSA, Australia, Canada, and New Zealand. This is a complete and unabridgedfairy tales and also a delightful collection of magical folktales. We especiallychildren can get a lot of knowledge and messages after reading these fairy talesand it is very fresh and original. In this book there are fortyseven fairy tales,which has been written by Andersen and translated into English by Pat Iverson.The purpose of this study is to analyze the book Penguin Popular ClassicsFairy Tales by Hans Andersen as one of the popular book in childrensliterature. Instead, there are a number of problems inherent in childrensliterature, however, after read the collection from Andersen we could more wiseto educate the children through this fairy tale. In this research the writer takes aredline that the fairy tale which written by Andersen is very relevant to consumefor children because of their topics are content of prince and princess, animal,king and queen. These kinds of topic still exist in this century and very closewith childrens world.
