摘要:Humans have an amazing capacity to act selfishly, not caring to others, orengage in violence that causes injury to another party. But on the other side alsohas the capacity to perform with full action with great self-sacrifice and heroismthat requires sacrifice. Actions that aim to benefit other people are known asprosocial behavior. Entering elementary school age, children increasingly wideassociation. Aged 10-12 years is the end of childhood. One task of this period ofdevelopment is to be a social person. Prosocial behavior becomes important tosupport the child becomes a social person. For that, they need special attentionin terms of childcare, particularly in the authoritative parenting obtained fromparents. This study aims to determine the relationship between the level ofauthoritative parenting with child prosocial intentions. The number of 47subjects aged 10-12 years who both sexes male or female. Sampling methodused is incidental sampling. Data gathering technique in this study using thescale level of authoritative parenting and prosocial intentions shaped Likertscale. Test item analysis at the scale level of authoritative parenting (N = 16)obtained eight items that had item-total correlations between 0.305 to 0.604 witha reliability coefficient of .722 (Cronbach Alpha). While analysis of test itemson prosocial intentions (N = 16) obtained 10 items that had item-totalcorrelations between .308 to .595 with the reliability test showed coefficient of0.789 (Cronbach Alpha). To examine the relationship between the level ofauthoritative parenting with prosocial intentions Product Moment correlationanalysis was used, the value of r = 0.503 and p = 0.000 (p < 0.01). Based on thecalculation of Mean Mean Empirical and hypothetical, are known to the meanempirical level authoritative parenting and prosocial intentions, both at highcategory.
