  • 摘要:ABSTRACT :AIDS (acquired immune deficiency syndrome) is a disease that includes chroniccategory, which appears related with an infection caused by the entry of a viruscalled HIV (human immunodeficiency virus). HIV attacks and reduce thehuman immune function, can enter the human body through the exchange ofbody fluids during sexual conduct relationship, through blood, through breastmilk exposed to HIV, as well as through sharing needles together withindividuals exposed to HIV. The virus is gradually making more and moreendurance and less leads to death. While up to now is the absence of a vaccinethat can cure or kill the virus. This can make people with AIDS experience highstress, which if not intervene will negatively affect health in relation to thedecline in immune function. One form of intervention to overcome feelings ofdepression / stress is through the social support provided individualsexperiencing environmental stress. The definition of social support is a form ofassistance from people around the individual who is considered close toemotional and physical functioning and providing psychological comfort. Socialsupport can be given in the form of emotional support, informational support,instrumental or tangible support, and companionship support. This study aims toobtain a picture of the social support to people living with HIV, and the impactof social support for people living with HIV. In this research, researchers used aqualitative approach in the form of case studies. The subject of this research is aman who exposed the HIV virus and the number one person. In this researchused interview techniques and non-participant observation. Based on researchresults, the general subject of social support from family, wife, and co-workers.Subjects obtained the support is emotional support, informational support,instrumental or tangible support, and companionship support, support a positiveimpact on the lives of the subject. For health, the subject became moreconcerned with his health. If viewed from the psychological impact, subject to amotivated, more confident in doing things and becomes lighter in doing so. Asfor social impacts, the subject becomes more friends, felt he means, and thesubjects included in group activities. In addition to these effects, there are uniseximpact jobs that can optimize their ability, make the subject's ability increases,the subject can evaluate the job and get the information required iii so thatsubjects can help in providing information on health access to the groupmembers support.
