摘要：To date, a career woman or a woman who holds high position in an office is notuncommon. However, in some societies a career woman is still less appreciated.This results in conflict for a woman having high motivation to have bettercareer. This study aims to know if there is a positive relationship betweenachievement motivation and fear of success in adult working women in theirearly stage of their career. To collect data of this study, a questionnaire wasadministered using Likert scales. This study uses bivariate correlation test toexamine the relationship between achievement motivation as predictors and fearof success as a criterion. The technique of data analysis was Pearson CorrelationProduct Moment Correlation. The number of subjects in this study was 43female workers with a minimum working position of supervisor. The ages arebetween 20-40 years and are married. The result of the analysis shows that thereis a significant relationship between achievement motivation and fear of success,but the relationship is negative. This means that the higher achievementmotivation, the lower the fear of success is. This may be due to characteristics ofindividuals who have high achievement motivation responsible for completingtasks on time and trying to find ways in which new tasks.
