摘要：Adolescence is one period in human development is of interest to be discussedbecause in adolescence, a person experiencing many changes and difficultiesthat must be faced. Adolescence is considered a transitional period during thetransition from childhood into adulthood. In the period of adolescence, usuallyteenagers try to be able to build a mature relationship with peers (Irwanto,1994). Wenar and Dry (in Ashadi, 2007) said that the need for achievement isone motive that plays an important role in adolescents. That's because, the needsof high achievers that will encourage teens to focus on the achievement of thisstudy aims to examine the relationship between conformity to the group withachievement motivation in adolescents, especially on college students. Thisresearch was conducted with subjects who have characteristics students whichage 18-21 years old. Reliability on a scale of 0.799 group conformity, where the33 items tested there are 23 items with a valid. The scale reliability motivationachievement of 0.827, where the 42 items tested there are 29 valid items. Basedon the results of this research is the correlation value of -0.307 with asignificance of 0.002 (P < 0.05). It is concluded that there was a significantnegative relationship between achievement motivation, conformity with thegroup in late adolescence, which means that when conformity to the group at thehigh end of the adolescent achievement motivation in adolescent low endopposite when conformity low end of the youth group, achievement motivationin adolescent high-end . This is due in late adolescence have usually startedindependently and think about the future. From the descriptive analysiscalculations based on gender is known that the mean value of group conformityin women greater than men, where as the mean value on achievementmotivation in males larger than females. While the calculation of descriptiveconformity known groups based on age at the age of 18 years has the highestvalue with the mean value of 45.17 and at the age of 21 years for the mean value of 83.6 on achievement motivation. The result of calculations based on birthorder descriptive note that the eldest child has a mean value of conformity andhigh achievement motivation.
