摘要:The number of teenage smokers in Indonesia is expected to increase beyondcountries in ASEAN. Deputy survey for Child Protection says the Ministry ofWomen Empowerment 13.63% in Indonesian smokers started smoking from age7 years. Based on the Ministry of Health survey, about 141.44 million people,meaning there are about 1.92 million children aged 7 to 18 years who becamesmokers (Rachmat, 2008). This study aims to determine the image young mensmoking behavior, self-image of adolescent smokers and how the role ofsmoking on adolescent self-esteem?. Subjects in this study was a teenager whosmoked. In this study researchers used interview techniques using generalguidelines and researchers using non-participant observation techniques. Basedon the results of observations and interview can be concluded that smokingbehavior in the category of subjects still a beginner smoker or light smoker.Subject in a single day spent just three sticks of cigarettes per day. Smokingbehavior of subjects was included in the category of light smokers (1 to 10 barsper day) as claimed Sitepoe (2000) that male smokers divided by the number ofcigarettes consumed (in stems per day) to be: light smokers (1 to 10 bars perday)
