  • 摘要:ABSTRACT :This research aims to examine the relationship between the intentions of publicservice with the performance of police members. Police have been faced withthe behavior of some members of the police who abuse their authority to workas a public servant. The low possibilities of the members of the PoliceDepartment to become a good public servant tends caused by the lack of desireor intention of individuals to provide services to the community resulting in lowperformance is also subject of this research are as many as 85 people drawnfrom populations that have used the total sampling techniques ( census), the totalpopulation subject to subject in the subject of research with the criteria: memberof the National Police Metro Police Resort (Polrestro) Bekasi, male and female,serving in Bekasi POLRESTRO environment, where all members serve asrespondents. Based on test validity, the correlation score of the total items on thescale of public service intentions to move between 0.313 to 0.897. While thetotal score correlation of the items on the performance scale move betweenbetween 0.300 to 0.752.Reliability tests performed by using Cronbach alpha ofthe items that have been passed item analysis. Coefficient of reliability on thescale of public service intentions conducted separately because it included thefive scales with different response categories, namely the behavioral belief scaleof 0.880, 0.750 for the evaluation scale, the scale of motivation to Comply0.911, normative belief scale of 0.932, and scale perceived behavioral control(PBC) of 0.940.Coefficient to scale the performance of 0.840. From the resultsof correlation analysis Product Moment correlation coefficient value is knownfor 0.145 with a significance value of 0.092 (p> 0.05). The results of correlationanalysis showed that the research hypothesis was rejected, meaning there is nosignificant relationship between public service with the intention of policeperformance, where the higher the intensity of public service will be the higherthe performance of police members. Conversely, the lower the intentions of thepublic service will also lower the performance of police members. This is likelycaused by other factors such as motivation, age, gender, and function. Ingeneral, the level of public service intentions quite average.
