摘要:The purpose of this research is to know in depth the stress and coping in mothersof children with dyslexia. Dyslexia is a disorder in someone who had difficultylearning to read which affects the ability to learn the words, even if the child hasa level of average intelligence or above average, and has the vision and normalhearing. Dyslexia in children can make parents become stressed. Stress is anevent or events that require someone to do the adaptation of psycological,cognitive, and behavior. Parents who experience stress had children whostruggle to read will find a solution to the problem that we often call coping. Thetypes of coping are divided into three parts: Coping With a focus on the problem(problem focused coping), coping is focused on emotions (emotional focusedcoping), a maladaptive coping. In this study authors used a qualitative approachof interviews and observation methods. Characteristics of research subjects whohave a child's mother dyslexia, where the subject experiences stress because thechild has dyslexia 36 years old. The number in this study was onewoman. Picture of dyslexia in children is the subject of reluctant and slow inreading, pointing textbook menyusuru with the index finger, and often wrong inpronouncing words such as "b" to "d" and vice versa, though already familiarwith these letters. From the analysis of research known a mother who hassuffered stress dyslexia children where there is a change in the physical, as isoften tired, dizzy in the head, loss of appetite, and difficulty sleeping. Changesin behavior such as preferred outs, easy tears, and paced back - and forth as wellas psychological changes often feel uncomfortable, annoyed, paranoid, to feelconcern. Changes also occur in the social life in which the mother became lessconfident, not comfortable with the environment and easily offended. In thisstudy mothers who use coping focused on the problem (problem focusedcoping) and coping that focused on emotions (emotional focused coping).
