摘要:ABSTRACT :This study aims to determine the reasons for a wife to who does not t bepolygamy, love the picture before her husband's polygamous wife, picture oflove after her husband's polygamous wives and wives love the developmentprocess of the husband. Love is the active force, which can break down thewalls separating the individual with others. Love is divided into threecomponents: intimacy, passion and commitment. The combination of this loveof the three components will produce a different picture of love in polygamyswife. Polygamy is a situation where a man having more than one wife at thesame time. Research method used was qualitative research method with typeresearch of case studies. Research subject is an adult female 51-year-oldassociate. Based on research results, it can be seen that the subject received herhusband's polygamy because it has a financial dependence and the need of thehusband's role in making decisions for the family. The subject was also fear ofthe negative stigma from society and fear the psychological development ofchildren if the subject and her husband divorced. Subject felt that her love forher husband to change. Before being polygamy, subjects sensed intimacy,passion, and a big commitment, so that the subject has a great love for herhusband. However, when the husband had committed polygamy, the subject feltthat her love had been betrayed by her husband. Nevertheless, the subject stilllove him though the subject must be willing to share life with other wives of herhusband. The subject still feeling the intimacy and the commitment of thehusband, but the passion he felt had been reduced. Subjects experiencedpassionate love as the beginning of her marriage. Over time, the subject began todare to express their idealism and expressed dislike of the behavior of apolygamous husband. Subjects also had wanted to divorce her husband but byconsidering the welfare of children, subjects received polygamous husband anddecided to maintain the household and that's when the subject experiencedromantic love. Furthermore, the subject tried to understand the behavior of thehusband, received visits distribution systems that have been set by her husbandand her emotions as best I could manage to household conditions and thecondition of her children, remained awake. In this condition, subjectsexperienced companionate love to her husband.
