This is related to the couple who lived in the house-in-law, when in-laws have the same background with the law, then this can reduce the difficulties experienced by the law. But if the in-laws have a different background with the law, then the law must be better at adjusting. Adjustment in-law's house is not easy. In this case-law of women should attempt to deal with the changes in the new environment. When in-lawshave the same background with the law, then this can reduce the difficulties of adjusting to law. But if it is-in-law has a different background with the law, then the law must be better at adjusting again. Individuals who come from different cultural backgrounds and eventually married, found himself in conflict because each of them started this relationship with a different basic assumptions. Given the differences in cultural background is, the pairing becomes more difficult to adjust in marriage. This study aims to get the full picture of how the adjustment daughter-in-law who stay at home a different tribe, what factors are affecting and what problems may arise in the relationship between them. The approach used in this research is a qualitative approach in the form of case studies. Subjects in this study were women who had married and stayed home-in-law of different tribes. Data collection techniques used was conventional and informal interviews and participant observation and structured. Based on research results obtained can be concluded that the subject has a good adjustment, such as: having an accurate perception of reality, subject to adjust in-law's house by following the rules in-law's house. Able to cope or deal with stress and anxiety, the subject is not easy to stress in dealing with problems that arise during the stay at home-in-law. Having positive self-image, the subject is not easily affected by things that are negatives; this is because the subject can control his life and spent much time on things that are positive. Able to express their feelings by crying, laughing and showing his emotions in reality and in control. There are three factors that affect the adjustment affects the subject, namely: stress factors, external factors and internal factors. Stress factors such as the problems that arise lead to stress and making the subject the subject to be reluctant to adjust in-law's house, external factors such as the husband and the subject of women-in-law was instrumental in the adjustment process is done subject to the present, marked by internal factors adjustment be subject to the present, this is due to the desire of his own self is very strong subject to be accepted in-law's house. Of the three factors are internal factors that most influence the adjustment process of doing the subject until now. The problems that arise when the subject-in-law stay at home a different tribe from these external issues are marked with an attitude that the subject of women-in-lawagreed to the marriage is less because the subject did not come from Padang, this causes the subject of women-in-law to match the subject's husband with another woman who simplex Padang It also can subject many women-in-law to intervene in the care of his son-in-law this is because women think the subject is not able to take care of her son and could not accept the subject as law.
