  • 摘要:Affect the services the needs of every individual and more varied, including thecruise ship waiter. Cruise ship waiter is a key element in the relationshipbetween a room with another guest. For that, a cruise ship waiter jobs must besupported with the skills, motivation, attitude, values and knowledge to masterthe competencies in performing the duties of service. Additionally, a ministershould be given the material and emotional resources relating to the duties ofservants who lived. This is to prevent the risk of the occurrence of burnout(Faber, 1991). According to Pines (in Gramling, 1998), burnout is a term used toindicate the condition of an individual as a result of pressure of work entirely,feeling tired and could no longer function efficiently, restless and unable tosleep well.. For that they are working as a waitress cruises vulnerable toburnout. Therefore, researchers interested in studying the burnout picture on acruise ship waiter who has worked for nine years. The approach used in thisstudy is a qualitative approach in the form of case studies with subjects of acruise ship waiter who has worked for nine years and 32-year-old subject. Datacollection techniques used were interviews and observations, where theinterviews are structured interviews used as suggested by Moleong (2004),which at the time of interview interviewer using a (prepare) a list of questions orchecklists as a guide during the interview process. Observations used was a nonparticipant observation dikemukan by RJ (1996), where the observer does notparticipate in the parts of life participated observee.. Depersonalisation, subjectsexperienced a negative attitude, cynical and withdrawn from the guests.Decrease the achievement of self-desire, such as decreased desire successful andcapable, and a negative assessment of the job. While the components of thesources and effects of burnout burnout, experienced by subjects includecharacteristics such as low emotional control, and feeling tired of being worked.Work environment such as excessive workload, the distance between theworkplace with a place to stay away. Emotional involvement with the recipientof services such as cleanliness of the guest involvement neededmasalahmasalah, accuracy, and special attention. The impact of burnout thatincludes physical, such as decreased immunity, such as psychic subjects ratethemselves low, and workers' performance is subject to terbelengkalai job,increased absenteeism, slow, and produkvitas decline.. After months of subjectsexperiencing feelings of distress and exhaustion due to large workloads, and theworking atmosphere monotons so influential on the subject of workachievements.
