摘要：Keyword: Key words: perception, marriage, young adult, divorceAbstrack:ABSTRACT :Marriage is an important event which is expected to be experienced by every adult. Of course, everyone wants the whole family to be happy forever. But in reality, not all people can lead good marriage. This study aims to find out the causes a divorce, see marriage on the perception of young adults who experienced divorce, and determine factors that affect perception. In this studyresearchers used a qualitative research approach in the form of case studies, undertaken to provide in-depth description of a case that has certain characteristics. The subjects is 32-year-old male who experienced a divorce. This study uses an interview method, that is open and structured interviews, while observation methods used were non-participant and non-systematic. The result of this research show that the reasons the subject to divorce was incompatibility between the subject and his spouse, living in isolation, having an affair, leave home, drinking habits, and financial difficulties when married. Subjects perceive marriage as a sacred relationship, lawful, and religious, and a period when the subject is ready to spend time living with his partner faithfully as a family, where marriage had to be bring them together into two different characters, where the subject must be able to accept the weakness and the strengths his/her partner. Factors that affect the subject of marriage is the characteristics of subjects who experienced a divorce, whereas situational factors do not affect the subject's perception of marriage.
