摘要:Keyword: Key Words:INTENSITY, COMMUNICATION, PARENTS AND CHILDREN.Abstrack:ABSTRACT :Child's success in learning activities during school age is strongly influenced by different motivations, and one of them is the motivation to learn. According to Brophy in the Woolfolk (2004), motivation to learn is a tendency of students to undertake academic activities meaningful and useful, to achieve good results from those activities. With the motivation to learn, every child motivated her to learn not only to know but rather to understand the learning outcomes. Children's learning motivation is influenced by several factors. According Wlodkowski and Jaynes (2004), including the culture as a basis or reference which is held from individuals to behave in its environment, where individual families bernanung and interact with family members who provide the influence of one another, school or institution that is the place where the process learning, and personality of the individual. Intensity of communication includes aspects such as: honesty, openness, understanding, trust, that is absolutely among the parties and the support (Olson, 1992). The intensity of communication can be measured from the APAP-what and who's talking about, thoughts, feelings, certain objects, other people or themselves. The intensity of communication within the family is important, because it can strengthen families and relationships can give security to them, such situations can also help the development of learning motivation (Gunarsa, 2004) Therefore this phenomenon is very close to everyday researchers because it is in the scope of the education world Researchers wanted to test whether iv. there is a correlation between the intensity of parent and child communication with children's learning motivation.
