摘要：To date, a career woman or a woman who holds high position in an office is not uncommon. However, in some societies a career woman is still less appreciated. This results in conflict for a woman having high motivation to have better career. This study aims to know if there is a positive relationship between achievement motivation and fear of success in adult working women in their early stage of their career. To collect data of this study, a questionnaire was administered using Likert scales. This study uses bivariate correlation test to examine the relationship between achievement motivation as predictors and fear of success as a criterion. The technique of data analysis was Pearson Correlation Product Moment Correlation. The number of subjects in this study was 43 female workers with a minimum working position of supervisor. The ages are between 20-40 years and are married. The result of the analysis shows that there is a significant relationship between achievement motivation and fear of success, but the relationship is negative. This means that the higher achievement motivation, the lower the fear of success is. This may be due to characteristics of individuals who have high achievement motivation responsible for completing tasks on time and trying to find ways in which new tasks.
