其他摘要:Anne Thérèse De Lambert (1647-1733) and Josefa Amar y Borbón (1749-¿1808?), lived in different contexts and chronologies within the Enlightenment. Their pedagogical work, however, allows us to follow European debates on women, Enlightenment, and education. In the writings of both of them, we find the echoes —and influences— of their predecessors, as well as those of their contemporaries. A comparative analysis of Mme. de Lambert and Josefa Amar allows to establish the peculiarities, similarities, and differences of their works in relation to each other and with the ideas which circulated in other relevant texts and authors. What stands out is their particular defense of women of letters and women’s education, which aims should be promoting the progress of women’s intellect and moral autonomy, in order to contribute to women’s happiness.
