摘要：Internationalization has been drawing attention at U.S. academic institutions for the past two decades. The engagement of faculty is accepted as the key for sustaining higher education internationalization. Regardless of the increasing focus placed on faculty internationalization, faculty in the U.S. lag behind their foreign peers in international engagement. This article reviews studies that explore the factors that shape American faculty internationalization, raises awareness of challenges, and puts forward suggestions for improvements.
