摘要:This article, focusing on the fourth challenge of SBC, which deals with "participatory and universal access of brazilian citizen to knowledge", presents an analysis of possible improvements in the implementation of Educational Data Mining, so that their results can effectively support discovery processes of dropout behaviour. It is demonstrated the importance of a broad mapping of associated factors, as well as the need to deploy interactive solutions, enabling the dynamic access to results, allowing early diagnosis and relevant pedagogical actions. At the end of this article some issues relevant to Educational Data Mining are discussed in order to foster the discussion of this topic regarding the fourth challenge
