摘要:This paper presents a construct and model of the organizational leader’s political intelligence to conceptualize the role of political intelligence in effectively managing organizational change. Pertinent approaches to political intelligence that scholars have taken were reviewed with the aim to build a theory. Basing our model on the dimensionality of political intelligence identified in light of literature, the chief proposition is that political intelligence can help facilitate organizational change effectively. The politically intelligent leader is capable of steering the stormy waters of organizational change using his political intelligence. Based on this theoretical model, a case is made for an empirical investigation. This paper sheds light on the implications of this theory for change leaders.
