摘要：Internet has become an important part in the field of education as it is in every area nowadays as well. Internet has become appealing among educators and students with its easy and quick access and wide opportunities. In this study, an application of using internet in the history course was done. 160 students who were enrolled in College of Education in Adiyaman University participated in this study. The present study is a qualitative study which is consisted of 4 parts. According to results of the study, students found the internet enhanced history course more effective than the traditional one. It is also found that students liked the internet enhanced course more since it is easy to access a lot of materials about the course. It is also found that students have some concerns about the trustworthiness of the information on the web. Therefore they generally stated that they only use government sites and they use the internet for registering courses and doing homework. The students have also stated that using the internet extensively may have negative effects on using different sources of information such as books. It is observed that students have some difficulties when they search on webs with foreign languages. As a result, teacher candidates have positive opinions about the use of internet in the history course; however, it was also seen that they cannot use the internet effectively if they do not have sufficient computer experiences. Therefore, they should receive high quality computer training in both during their education and during their teaching carrier by in service training courses.
