摘要:AbstractThere is an extensive literature on antecedents and positive/negative consequences of quality management in manufacturing organizations. However, studies that focus on quality management in higher education institutions are inadequate. In addition, these studies are generally based on developed countries and small samples. This study examines the situation of quality management in higher education institutions of a developing country, Turkey. In addition, it uses a relatively large data set (241 faculties and institutes) for this aim. The findings show that although the Turkish higher education institutions have progressed in their quality efforts in recent years, there is still a long way to go.
