摘要：http://dx.doi.org/10.5007/1518-2924.2015v20n42p17O valor histórico-cultural e econômico do livro raro faz com que o mesmo seja, frequentemente, objeto de roubo e furto. Portanto, as instituições guardiãs deste tipo de acervo têm que reforçar sua segurança com o intuito de inibir essa prática criminosa. O presente trabalho, por meio de revisão de literatura, tem como objetivo analisar a possibilidade de uso da análise bibliológica como uma ferramenta de segurança, pois com a descrição detalhada dos exemplares é possível aumentar o conhecimento sobre o acervo de uma instituição e atribuir propriedade inequívoca aos exemplares raros, que nem sempre recebem carimbos ou outras marcas, dificultando a devolução dos livros no caso de roubo e furto e possível recuperação dos mesmos. Portanto, a análise bibliológica individualiza o exemplar, além de permitir o manuseio e conhecimento aprofundado deste, fatores imprescindíveis à segurança das obras.
其他摘要：The historical-cultural and economic value of rare book makes the same is often the object of robbery and theft of rare books. Therefore, the guardians of this type of library institutions have to strengthen their safety in order to inhibit such criminal practice. This paper, through literature review has the objective analyzing the possibility of using bibliological analysis as a security tool. Because with the detailed description of the copies is possible to increase the knowledge about the collection of an institution and attribute unequivocal property to rare specimens, that not always receive stamps or other marks, making it difficult to return the books in case of robbery and theft and possible recovery thereof. Therefore, the bibliological analysis individualizes the exemplary, besides allowing the handling and extensive knowledge of this, essential factors to security of the books.
