摘要：El artículo analiza la propuesta historiográfica de la obra Linguistics in Britain: Personal Histories, publicada por la Philological Society de Londres en 2002. Este título recoge las autobiografías intelectuales de veintitrés lingüistas británicos y condensa la historia del siglo XX en el Reino Unido. Es un texto que combina memorias personales, debates profesionales y manifiestos por una lingüística significativa e integradora. El artículo considera el valor de esta contribución insólita, relaciona la obra con los principios de la historiografía y destaca los relatos de Halliday, Lyons y Robins.
其他摘要：The paper analyzes the historiographical proposal of Linguistics in Britain: Personal Histories, a book published by the Philological Society of London in 2002. The title collects the intellectual autobiography of twenty British linguists and condenses the history of the twentieth century in the United Kingdom. This text combines personal memories, professional debates and manifestos for a meaningful and inclusive linguistics. The article considers the value of this unusual contribution, relates the book to the principles of historiography and highlights the stories of Halliday, Lyons and Robins.
