摘要:This paper presents the results of a research carried out by the authors about political discourse on the microblog Twitter. The aim of this work, based on the methodology of linguistic analysis of discourse, was to see how different communicative devices within Twitter such as the retweet of messages or the use of hashtags change the discursive strategies adopted by politicians to communicate with citizens. We have analysed these practices in a number of 250 tweets published by the leading candidates for the presidency of the Spanish government in November 2011, as well as in the messages sent by citizens during the same period.
