摘要:Moving object is detected by simple spatial and temporal gradients in GOP (Group of Frame) of H.264/AVC such that the MOOI (Moving-Object-of-Interest) is remained as much as possible while the non-MOOI is squeezed. This resizing process to original video is applied as a pre-processing for standard video compression. Specifically, more image data of the original video will be dropped by our non-uniform subsampling as the distance from the center of the MOOI increases. Experimental results show that our MOOI aware video compression can preserve the original visual quality of the MOOI even for low bit-rate applications.
