摘要：Diario de un poeta reciencasado or Diario de poeta y mar can be understood as a symbolic expression of the theme of the sea from an essentialist viewpoint. This paper shows how in this work essentialist abstraction or symbolic interiorisation gains the upper hand over the social-axiological correspondence that is clearly rooted in Romanticism.
