摘要：Today the evaluation of scientific journals is mainly based on the presence or absence of the journals in Citation Indices. In the work presented here, we propose an alternative system based on diferent types of indicators. This alternative system is applied to journals related to Archaeology, Prehistory and Ancient History. In particular, the international visibility of these journals is studied analysing the main international Data Bases and Union Lists of Serials.
