摘要:The effect of different concentrations (0, 5, 10, 25, 50, 100, 200 and 300 mg/L) of chromium on seed germination behavior of some agricultural crops viz., black gram (Vigna mungo L.), cowpea (Vigna unguiculata L), green gram (Vigna radiata L.) groundnut (Arachis hypogaea L), maize (Zea mays L.), paddy (Oryza sativa L.) and soyabeen (Glycine max L.) were accomplished. The higher concentrations of chromium retarded the germination percentage of crops. No germination was recorded at 300 mg/L chromium concentration. Among the crops tested, groundnut showed lower sensitivity and paddy showed higher sensitivity in response to germination percentage.
