摘要：The literature on different aspects of wastewater treatment is quite voluminous. A review of the research trends, followed in wastewater treatment, is discussed by several researchers. A comprehensive review on treatment of sewage is extremely difficult to compile mainly due to its voluminous nature and the difficulty in obtaining the scattered information as isolated pieces of research. The available information pooled together in the present review is a suitable continuation and supplement to the papers, published earlier by authors regarding the subject matter.
