摘要:Simultaneous photocatalytic reduction of hexavalent chromium and degradation of n-butyl benzyl phthalate (BBP) by UV/TiO_2 process was investigated. The batch experiments were carried out in a photoreactor equipped with 350 nm lamps. The presence of BBP facilitates Cr(VI) reduction, whereas Cr(VI) accelerates degradation of BBP. The results showed a synergism between the oxidation of BBP and reduction of Cr(VI). This study demonstrated for the first time that both important environmental pollutants Cr(VI) and n-butyl benzyl phthalate could be eliminated simultaneously using UV/TiO_2 process.
