摘要:The purpose of this study was to evaluate the body composition, lipid profile, physical fitness, and quality of life in patients with chronic kidney disease in hemodialysis. Twenty-nine patients aged 41.50 ± 12.10 yrs at the final stage of chronic kidney disease took part in this research. Body mass, height, body mass index (BMI), abdominal circumference, body composition, lipid profile, strength, and quality of life were measured. Hypertension (48.28%) and type 2 diabetes mellitus (13.79%) were the main causes of the subjects’ chronic kidney disease. Significant differences were observed between the sexes in the tricipital skinfold thickness, total body water, fat-free mass, and lipid profile variables, with exception of HDL-C and fasting glucose. Significant associations of abdominal circumference with BMI and body fat, and BMI with body fat were observed. Moderate and significant association was observed between the emotional function and physical function and negative association between abdominal circumference and physical function. The complications caused by the disease and treatment adversely affected the various organ systems and the subjects’ quality of life and independence, which further increased the risk of morbimortality from cardiovascular diseases.
