摘要:The purpose of this study was to review the quality of life (QOL), cognitive impairments, treatment, and physical exercise in patients with Parkinson's disease (PD). The information was taken from publications indexed in Medline, SciELO, and Lilacs from 2005 through 2017. After inclusion and exclusion criteria were applied, 59 of 145 articles remained. Motor, cognitive, and physical alterations were identified in most of the studies, with an evaluation of the influence they exerted on the PD patients’ QOL. Depression, anxiety, fatigue, and mobility were some of the changes evaluated. The PDQ-39 questionnaire was most commonly used in the studies. The review found strong evidence that supports physical exercise improves the PD patients’ QOL, cognitive impairments, and physical function.
