摘要：The article emphasizes the origins of the lack of standardization that exists in the classification of abstracts. It analyzes the terminological proposals that appear in standards and guidelines, as well as in the scientific literature on the subject. We take into account the aspects related to the translation of the terms, the problems coming from the synonymy, homonymy and metonymy; and the diverse criteria with which the researchers on the subject interpret the different types of abstracts.
